Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially married!
This Royal Wedding is one to remember.
Unlike my mother, who is currently in Windsor out in the crowds with her sister, I was watching the ceremony in the comfort of my living room with my father. We were both amongst the billions of people around the world tuning in to watch the royal wedding of the century.
Over 600 guests attended the ceremony at St George’s Chapel, including Meghan’s former Suits co-stars, Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and many more. Also in attendance were plenty of other members of the Royal Family.
With many people guessing what Meghan’s dress would look like, the dress wasn’t at all what I was expecting but it was elegant. Designed by Clare Waight Keller, it was a simple, three-quarter length sleeved wedding dress. The veil was five meters long had a floral pattern, which represented all the Commonwealth countries.
Meghan Markle arrived just before midday and the ceremony began shortly after. After the hymns, and speeches by both British and American members of the Church, the now officially married couple headed out onto the steps of St George’s Chapel, followed by a carriage ride through Windsor’s town centre.
The New Duke and Duchess of Sussex then take the carriage down The Long Walk, back to the castle for a private reception.
Overall, the ceremony will be remembered for many many years to come.
