Back in 2020 during lockdown, I decided to make a few posts about a trend that I discovered on Instagram. Fellow Gleeks would post their top four favourites: males, females, friendships, canon couples and more.
I have already created a couple of posts about my top four females and males and now as a part of my rebranding, I have decided to continue this trend.
For love month, I am listing my top four canon couples in all six seasons of the hit Fox show and will be writing the reasons as to why they are my favourite.
Note: These couples are NOT in any particular order.
Puck and Quinn

One is a jock and the other is a cheerleader, and even if this is such a cliché, I loved them together. When you have a character who is a bit of a lothario like Puck, it takes them a while to find ‘the one’ and his heart was finally won by Quinn. Although It did take them FIVE seasons to finally be endgame I was differently relieved when it finally happened.
Slow burns are fun and I am sure that is the reason why I love this couple because the road to their happily ever after is a long one.
Brittany and Santana

For a person who was in the closet at the time, seeing these two on screen together was an absolute dream. Even though Brittany and Santana were only recurring in season one, they became two of my favourite characters and made a big impact on mine and other peoples lives.
One of the reasons I love them as a couple is mostly all because of Heather and Naya’s acting and chemistry. Even though Brittany and Santana’s relationship wasn’t officially revealed until about season two, there were plenty of hints. I find that their relationship was one of the most realistic throughout the whole show and I’m sure that is what makes them one of the best.
Finn and Rachel

Since day one, we knew about Rachel’s feelings for Quarterback Finn and we had to wait for her feelings to be reciprocated. When they eventually were, it sadly did not last very long as Finn broke up with Rachel not long after. It wasn’t until season three where their relationship would last for a whole season.
No matter what your feelings are to Rachel, there is no denying that these Finn and Rachel were endgame.
Jake and Marley

A perfect example of opposites attract and even though Glee does ruin their relationship in the end, they are still one of my favourites. Marley is one of my all-time favourite female characters as I never had a problem with her, which is why she is my absolute favourite. Jake, on the other hand…I had a LOT of problems with. There were also many reasons why I loved him as well, one of them being the way he acted when he was with Marley at the beginning of their relationship.
Despite Jake’s behaviour, I loved seeing them together as I did feel like Marley did change Jake a little (even though it didn’t last.)
