My 21st Birthday

Everyone looks forward to their birthday and when it’s a milestone, we want to make the most of it. But as we can also agree, this year has not been kind to us and has changed our lives in the worst possible way. Last weekend I turned twenty one and I did have a good day despite some parts of England being on lockdown.

With my parents working, I spent most of the day watching the movies: Bombshell, Knives Out and Captain Marvel and opening presents. I am a huge movie buff and have a long list of movies that I would like to watch. The movies made the day go by quicker which I quite liked but throughout the day I was having a few visitors coming over. It was disappointing that they couldn’t come in but we had nice conversations standing outside.

On the evening I visited a pub called The Bay Horse, where my mother had invited our social bubble. My starter was battered halloumi, which was really nice with the chili sauce that it came with. For main I had a vegetable curry with chips, as I had it last time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Usually I would have my birthday cake for desert but I was really fancying one of my favourite deserts: Sticky Toffee Pudding. My birthday followed straight after, but I had a slice the following day. My Mother and father did a good job as to keeping the pub a secret and I am really grateful with their effort in making this a great birthday.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday online and offline. I am determined to have a another fun one next year but with all my friends and have one big night out.
